Today's blog post is an excerpt from my poetry book. For the next couple of weeks, I will be updating this blog with excerpts from the book; POETIC THOTS.

Some great men of old
Were great merchants of gold.
Whom all their beings were placed on the amount sold
The enormity of the currency of gold
Has made them forget the evil of gold
They dined and make use of the gold cutlery
The treasure of gold of the men of old
Had brought unending evil upon them
And the war that led to their calamitous end
Their knights were compromised at night
And all their armed men were bought with the money of gold
Their defense wall was breached
Their enemies walked in with ease
Visionary men died with their visions
There were loss of lives and property
But the treasure of gold by the men of old
Had made them lost their sanity
Dreamers with their dreams went to visit the silent ones
People were hopeless and homeless
Couples turned to widows and widowers
But the spirit of gold by the men of old
Had made them sold their honors
Is this treasure truly worth their honors?
They underestimate the evil of gold
And couldn’t clean their messes with the money of gold.
Dis is nice sir
