THE TREASURE OF GOLD

Today's blog post is an excerpt from my poetry book. For the next couple of weeks, I will be updating this blog with excerpts from the book; POETIC THOTS. ***************************** Some great men of old Were great merchants of gold. Whom all their beings were placed on the amount sold The enormity of the currency of gold Has made them forget the evil of gold They dined and make use of the gold cutlery The treasure of gold of the men of old Had brought unending evil upon them  And the war that led to their calamitous end Their knights were compromised at night And all their armed men were bought with the money of gold Their defense wall was breached Their enemies walked in with ease Visionary men died with their visions There were loss of lives and property But the treasure of gold by the men of old Had made them lost their sanity Dreamers with their dreams went to visit the silent ones People were hopeless and homeless Couples turned to widows and widowers But the spirit of go

TRAUMATIZE

she was stripped of her dignity By men of moral decadence  She kept mute, And live to see all men as evil She bled in her heart of hearts  But knew no one to confide in Because to her all are evil To her life is unpleasant  To her God is unfair: To have allowed her to be victims of evil Unfair, to have even watched them laughing her to scorn Unfair, not to have  erased them with thunder,  Even while they were perpetrating the evil Even she arraigned herself in a costly garment;  She's naked as far as she's concern She's mean to all men  Even to her blood brother Why this hatred against your own kind?  But she wouldn't talk Yet,  she's pained Once a lively girl,  now arrogant and hurt What demons possess her? No one knew because she's mute Yet,  she's Pained  Hurting girl hurt  She was sobered, cried without tears.  Asked Many questions with words un-utter Lost friends, The family enjoy her no more  She was pained but she wouldn't talk!  She wouldn't

THE STATE OF THE WORLD

The world is having a convulsion  Every Tim, Dick, and Harry in confusion  Lockdown and stay safe two new keywords  Hunger and loneliness have turned lords  No more Saturday picnic  Else you end up in the clinic  No more discos in the outer restaurants Else you become a tenant in an isolation center No more children playing raising sands  All physical gatherings are forbidden   Church, schools meetings now done online,  Students and lecturers; all in safe islands  COVID-19's dealing with both big and low  Regardless of where you are; high or low  Oh Lord come to our aid  And please safe from this situation Loneliness has taught us a lesson;  That we all but social animals  Now we value our gatherings  Beyond this present moment is implications  Of lockdown  I pray at the end of it all  We will be able to gather again  In a board room, class or a big hall  To have business meetings, learn, and or listen to the word.

WHY LADIES SAY NO

We can never be friends again; I don’t want to have anything to do with him or her again, that guy is a bastard, or I can never spend my money on any guy or girl again. Are you conversant with those phrases? I’m sure you do. These words I’ve heard from many dudes again and again. I’m not a relationship coach but I know I can help your situation because I know what it means to be embittered. I have come to realize that some male folks find it hard to admit reality whenever their request is not granted by any ladies they their feelings to. Many friends have turned foes because I can’t marry you. The first problem some guys have is to raise their expectations too high while scouting the prospective lady they claim to love. It’s not an issue to have an expectation but don’t be so sure that the outcome will be positive. Am I being pessimistic here? No. The fact remains that you are not sure if the lady in context is in a working relationship or perhaps have a guy she’s still testing
