MY MESS!

MY MESS! Yesterday afternoon I was terribly famished. And in the quest to quench my hunger, I motioned to the kitchen to prepare noodles and egg. It was almost half done when I reached my hand thither into the kitchen table to get egg but unfortunately I accidentally broke six eggs. Nobody was home and I didn't want anyone to know what had transpired when they come back. I cleared the mess but not yet totally wiped until I replace the broken ones. Hence I rushed out of the house bought another six eggs to replace the one I broke. Then, I confidently ate my noodles thinking no one would have a glimpse of what had happened. But when people began to come back from work they could perceive odor of egg, and I was asked did you break egg? Since I didn't want to lie I said yes. What I actually thought had perfectly covered up later show case itself. Then, I questioned myself why didn't I use deodorant to neutralize the smell of the egg? However, I wa...

WHY I'M SO SURE I'LL MARRY A VIRGIN

WHY I'M SO SURE I'LL MARRY A VIRGIN. One of my younger ones put it to me one day; "do you love to marry a virgin?" And my response to his question triggered this write up. I told him I don't have any other choice than to marry a virgin.  Even if I closed my eyes why choosing the lady to marry she would definitely still be a virgin. The guy was flummoxed by this saying. "How can you be so sure sir?" Then he narrated the story of a Pastor's daughter whose mother thought she was a virgin until a question was raised in one of their church meeting.  "While the father was preaching he asked, if you're a youth and you know you're still intact come out:  you can't imagine the depth of disappointment on both the pastor and his wife faces when they realised that their daughter didn't come out." In other words, he thought even if you want to marry in the household of faith the largest percentage of them are no longer in...

WHAT MISTRESS OFFER THAT WIFE DOESN'T?

WHAT MISTRESS OFFER THAT WIFE DOESN'T? This question has been a burden in my heart for days till I deem it fit to ink something about the subject. I have always wondered in time past why is it that some men have pretty wives in their quiver yet they engage in the act of extra marital business? Just like I'll do on any other subject, I set my effort on a top gear to conduct research as to what do men get from their mistresses outside that they can't get from their women inside. I came out with these: COOKIES: What do I mean by cookies? By cookies I mean sex. Lol. I found out from my research that some women deny their husbands cookies. Maybe due to their busy schedule or perhaps low libido.  But the fact remain that when these men could not cope with erratic sex supply from their women they go out for a complement. The role of sex in marriage can't be over emphasized. And it shouldn't be something you use time table for. I heard that some women...

WHO ARE YOU

WHO ARE YOU? I’m honoured to be standing before these great scholars today. Some years ago, I was a secondary school student like you. I’m glad to announce to you that today, I’m still a student. Because whether you are in school or not in one way or the other you are learning and whoever is still learning is a student. Besides, all of us, young or old, big or small, rich or poor, tall or short, dwarf or giant are students in the school of life. Can you now see that I’m a student? The topic to be considered today is, “WHO ARE YOU?” Look at the person sitting next to you and ask him or her “Who are you?” Turn to another person and ask the same question, when I say “who are you?” I do not mean your nomenclature either generic or specific; or your gender, either male or female. I’m as well not interested in knowing your complexion, dark or fair. But I simply mean who are you? When I ask who are you? To win in the race of life will be a little bit hard when one does not k...

IT MATTER

IT MATTER! The topic to be discussed today is ‘it matter’, but the question is, what matters? Join me as we look into this deeply.  When I was in secondary school my Agricultural science teacher taught us then GERMINATION and the factor responsible for growth. Some of the factors are: viable seeds, moisture or water, nutrient (soil) and air (oxygen) When I meditatively considered these factors I realized that not even one out of them is un-important. If any of them isn’t available then the seed growth or germination is in jeopardy. Applying this into our lives’ journey as humans, it is evident that some factors also responsible for our own growth in every endeavors of life. Some take this serious while some others don’t.  When I say growth I do not mean increase in the number of age. Neither do I mean increase in stature. We grow in business, career, and ministry and so on. For us to grow in life we need to take these factors seriously. For instance the viabil...

LISTEN TO EACH OTHER.

Sometimes we misconstrue question and see it as an abuse. And because of this perpetual misconception our relationship with others is getting lean. From my research I've realized that most of the fight we fought were on the premise of misconception of statements, actions or thoughts. Some misunderstanding/arguments ensue like this: Mr. A: 2+1=3 Mr. B: No, it's 1+2...Lol And they both can argue on this for some minutes which can later result into something else. However, they're saying the same thing in a different way. But they fail to listen to each other.... Even in Philosophy it was experiment that a certain folk who says tomorrow is Sunday and the other who says 'no' tomorrow is not Sunday, but the day after tomorrow is Monday were actually saying the same thing in a different way. But they could argue this for hour not knowing they were saying same thing. Take a critical look at the conversation below: Abuser: Are you deaf? ...

ERROR THAT SOCIETY EMBRACE

I can still remember during my undergraduate days, when you're a Bible carrying student, you're automatically ordained a pastor in my Hall of residence. Even when you're not, everyone would be referring to you as pastor. I thought this was only peculiar to academic environment until I graduated years ago and began to experience same outside the academic environment. The error is the error of calling people that live moral life a pastor. Some of them are highlighted below: When you've not been caught telling lies, you're a pastor. When you've not been seen sleeping around with women like dogs or having extra marital affairs. In Nigeria you're referred to as pastor. If you're a church goer and committed in attending church meetings, you're a pastor. These are some of the errors that society embrace. Not knowing that moral living is not a righteous living. When these people are struggling with lies or addicted to something under...
